This is a collection of stories and articles by and about the Guest of Honor at the 1985 North American Science Fiction Convention (NASFiC), called Lone Star Con, in Austin. "Cat Island" is a previously unpublished excerpt from a novella. "A Vance Encyclopedia" is a selection of descriptions of people, places, and customs from Vance's universes; it is the first publication in this form.
